Success Stories from AFF Deal-making

Futureproof Financial Group Limited from Australia is a fintech / insurtech disrupter of banks, insurers, and wealth mangers in retirement and aged care funding. Being a first-time attendee in the 2023 edition, Futureproof connected with IMS Digital Ventures based in Hong Kong through AFF Deal-making. At the first face-to-face meeting, both parties saw great potential for a partnership.

By March 2023, they have confirmed a deal where IMS Digital became a 20% shareholder of Futureproof, and one of IMS Digital's senior consultants was appointed as Futureproof's CTO to provide technology consultation to help develop Futureproof's new insurance technology-related platform Equity Preservation Mortgage®.

CEO of IMS Digital also joined Futureproof's Board of Directors.

"I have participated AFF for eight years and have listed a record number of 17 projects on the Deal-making platform. I've received keen interest in Australian deals with strong prospects. The total value of these projects exceeds AUD 500 million, with each project ranging from AUD 1 million to AUD 200 million."

"I'm growing my company to expand into Asia. Instead of growing the product from the ground up and shipping it in bulk, I want to expand my horizons, which is why this Forum is so important for me to meet investors - the right investors to help me grow."

"For next-generation tech companies, venture builders and investors, the Deal-making in Asian Financial Forum has been a rewarding experience as we got to meet a broad range of founders, CEOs and co-investors from various key industries and regions, especially Southeast Asia and the Middle East. We successfully met with a few co-investment partners and identified promising companies for regional expansion through Hong Kong."
